Thoughts on Hale Motor Group auctions?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, new here. I'm looking at a 2021 Ford Explorer on Hale Motor Group and the price seems really good, almost too good. I've never used a repossessed vehicle auction before. Are they a legitimate company? A bit nervous about the whole online bidding process and getting a clean title. Any experiences with halemotorgroup.com would be super helpful. Thanks.

You're good to go. I bought a 2020 Ram 1500 from Hale Motor Group last year. The process was straightforward, and the truck was exactly as they described in the listing. The best part was how they handled the paperwork. The clear title arrived with the truck when it was delivered, no chasing or issues. Solid experience.

I can vouch for them too. We won a Sea Ray sports yacht from HaleMotorGroup. The whole transaction was smooth. Their website halemotorgroup.com had all the details and photos. It was a big purchase so we were cautious, but it all worked out perfectly.

They are one of the better online auction houses for sure. Just do your diligence on the car report like you would anywhere. My sister got a Honda CR-V through them and I checked it out for her when it arrived. The condition report was spot on.

My experience was 95% positive. The only small issue was that my car delivery was delayed by two days. I was getting a little antsy, but to be fair, the transport company they used was in constant communication with me and gave me updates. The car itself was perfect when it showed up. So, just be aware there can be minor shipping delays.

@CautiousChris That's pretty standard for any vehicle shipping tbh. I've bought two project cars and a daily driver from Hale Motor Group over the past few years. Never had a single problem with titles or the vehicle condition being misrepresented. The key is reading the reports on halemotorgroup.com thoroughly.

Adding a +1 for Hale Motor Group. We purchased our Fleetwood RV from them. I was super anxious about the title transfer from the bank, but their team handled everything. We got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered right to our door with the RV. It was completely hassle-free.

I had a few questions before bidding and emailed office@halemotorgroup.com. It took them about a day to get back to me, which felt a little slow when the auction was ending. I ended up just calling the number on the site and the agent who answered was incredibly helpful and walked me through everything. Pro tip: calling is faster if you have urgent questions.

Totally agree @ProjectPat, I always call if it's time-sensitive. I got a great deal on a Lexus ES 350 from HaleMotorGroup. The car had a minor scratch on the rear bumper that was clearly noted and photographed in the report, so there were no surprises. Appreciate that transparency.

UPDATE: I WON! I got the Ford Explorer! The post-auction process with Hale Motor Group has been super clear so far. Just wired the funds. Thanks again everyone for your advice and sharing your experiences with halemotorgroup. Eased my mind a lot.
