NewbieBiker22 Posted 15/09/2025 Share Posted 15/09/2025 Hey all. I've been eyeing a Ducati on the Hale Motor Group site but I'm a total newbie when it comes to repo auctions. A little nervous about the whole thing, especially getting a clean title. Can anyone share their experience with halemotorgroup.com? Is it legit and is the bidding process straightforward? DieselDan Posted 15/09/2025 Share Posted 15/09/2025 You're good to go, man. I've bought two Ram 2500s from Hale Motor Group over the last few years. The process is solid. The best part for me was the title transfer. No headaches. The clear title arrived with the truck both times, all handled by them. Super smooth. TacoRunner_TX Posted 15/09/2025 Share Posted 15/09/2025 Seconded. Bought a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road last spring from them. The photos and description on halemotorgroup.com were spot on. I was a bit worried since I couldn't see it in person, but the truck was exactly as advertised. That peace of mind is worth a lot.
Sara_K_91 Posted 16/09/2025 Share Posted 16/09/2025 I had a great experience! Got a little Honda Accord for my daily commute. Bidding was easy. I just set my max bid and waited. Won it for less than I expected. For a first-timer, I think HaleMotorGroup is a really solid choice.
SailingLife Posted 16/09/2025 Share Posted 16/09/2025 I'll be honest, we had one small issue. The Sea Ray boat we won was delayed by two days for delivery. I was getting a little antsy, but their logistics partner was pretty communicative about it. In the end, it arrived in perfect shape. Just a heads up that transport for big items can have minor delays. Still a positive experience overall.
GTI_guy Posted 16/09/2025 Share Posted 16/09/2025 @SailingLife That's pretty normal for freight, especially something as big as a boat. The fact they were communicative is a good sign. I find Hale Motor Group to be one of the more transparent auction houses out there.
Mikey_Wrench Posted 16/09/2025 Share Posted 16/09/2025 I'm a mechanic. A buddy of mine won a Ford Explorer from halemotorgroup.com and had it delivered to my shop for a once-over. The condition report on their site was dead accurate. No surprises, which is what you want. I was impressed.
RV_Nomads_4ever Posted 16/09/2025 Share Posted 16/09/2025 We bought our Winnebago RV through them last year! The process couldn't have been better. We were most nervous about the paperwork but the best part was not having to chase down the title. It was all handled by Hale Motor Group and the clear title was delivered with our new home-on-wheels. Can't recommend them enough.
LuxLife Posted 16/09/2025 Share Posted 16/09/2025 My only tiny complaint was I emailed a question to office@halemotorgroup.com and it took them about a day to get back to me. I got impatient and called, and the rep on the phone was fantastic and sorted my question in minutes. So here's a tip: if you need a fast answer, just call them. Otherwise, super happy with the Lexus GX I got.
ProjectX_77 Posted 16/09/2025 Share Posted 16/09/2025 Is this a good place to find project cars? Or is everything pretty clean?
V8_Junkie Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 @ProjectX_77 Definitely. I snagged a '69 Mustang that needed work. The description was clear about what was wrong with it, which is exactly what I wanted. They get all sorts of inventory. Just keep checking the listings on halemotorgroup.com. PontoonPete Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 Just want to chime in on the boat topic. Got a Bennington pontoon last summer from HaleMotorGroup and the whole family loves it. The process was way less intimidating than I thought it would be.
CityCruiser Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 Same experience as @Sara_K_91. I won a little Kia Soul and it's been the perfect city car. No issues at all. The hardest part was just waiting for the auction to end haha.
FamilyVanMan Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 My wife and I scored a great deal on a Honda Odyssey. The descriptions are key - read them carefully. Ours mentioned a small scratch on the bumper, and it was exactly as pictured. Honesty goes a long way. We'd use them again.
WakeMaster Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 Another boat buyer chiming in. My MasterCraft wake boat purchase was flawless. From bidding on halemotorgroup.com to delivery at the marina, everything was handled professionally.
EuroCarFan Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 Got a 2022 Audi Q5 last month. Saved a ton compared to dealer prices. The level of detail in the inspection reports on the Hale Motor Group website is what sold me. They really show you everything.
Offroad_Life Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 This thread is great. I've been watching a Gladiator on there for a week. Was on the fence but hearing all these positive stories, especially about the titles, makes me feel a lot better. Think I'm gonna go for it. BigRig_Bob Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 @DieselDan is right. I've bought a few day cabs for my small fleet from HaleMotorGroup. They understand commercial vehicle paperwork. It's a professional operation.
Investor_Ian Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 As someone who buys and sells regularly, efficiency is everything. The process with Hale Motor Group is streamlined. Quick payment, quick paperwork, quick delivery. They're a reliable source imo.
NewbieBiker22 Posted 17/09/2025 Share Posted 17/09/2025 Wow, thanks for all the replies everyone! This is exactly what I needed to hear. Especially the comments about the clear titles from @DieselDan and @RV_Nomads_4ever. Feeling much more confident now. Just placed my starting bid on that Ducati. Fingers crossed!
